Mission Statement

A Upper Hand is a free store for the inner city community. Our mission is to provide a helpful hand to those in need, no questions asked. We provide individuals and families with a variety of assistance including clothing, small household appliances, snack bags, hot meals and other donated items that vary by season.

Our goal is to build connections and relationships by identifying current needs and providing resources. Our continued support allows these individuals and families to focus on other important issues like housing, healthcare and employment. My hope is that this will fuel the community as a whole and that people will continue to contribute and pay it forward.

My passion for this mission comes from my personal experience growing up in a family that needed access to these types of resources. Knowing the impact it had on my childhood motivates me to make sure similar programs are available to future generations.
